As Co-founder and Art Director of LAVA Collective, Ashes57 is at the heart of everything we do. Using her extensive contacts from the worlds of visual art and music, she programs and curates our shows and parties. Now the time has come to turn the spotlight onto Ashes herself, as we showcase her new studio work at LAVA Gallery. Last year, we put on a show of Ashes 57's photography, The Message, which appeared both in London and Manchester. Now we are proud to present On the Wild Side, which will focus instead on her line drawing style. Using ink and paint, Ashes 57 creates magical cityscapes, where artists and musicians run riot through sprawling urban landscapes. Ashes57's illustrations will be instantly recognisable to lovers of dubstep and UK bass music. Her drawings have graced many record sleeves, flyers, and websites in recent years, and she continues to work with groundbreaking labels and club nights such as Swamp 81, Deep Medi, Acetate and Twisup.
